Detachable Sniper Rifle

History
Although it was described as “too small and lightweight” by some experts, it proved to be a perfect weapon for covert and counterterrorism operations. The versatility of its disassembly, which allowed its components to be distributed and concealed in different shipments, enabled United Nations pacification forces to achieve levels of effectiveness previously unheard of.
Its use was decisive during the Libyan Pacification Campaign of 2072, where urban guerrilla warfare required a highly precise yet extremely discreet weapon.
Its most widely publicized operation, however, took place during the Jerusalem Crisis of 2091, when its components were concealed among the vending machines at Ben Gurion Airport. Elite units of the then Mossad, disguised as maintenance workers, reassembled three carbines during machine restocking operations without the terrorists noticing. The magazines were packaged as fortune cookies, the scopes, completely disassembled, in chocolate bar wrappers. The largest components—the barrel, silencer, main body, and trigger grip—were hidden inside coffee and powdered milk containers. The false operators patiently restocked more than 25 machines in the area without confusing the containers, then assembled the weapons on the upper floor during restocking operations on that level, until they were positioned in coordinated formation overlooking the main hall, where 308 Turkish Airlines hostages were being held. The 12 terrorists were neutralized simultaneously in less than 35 seconds, using a novel zone-based target sequencing algorithm. To this day, the operation is still studied in military academies.
Following the Citizen Disarmament Act of 2110, this prized weapon can now only be viewed in museums. The recent controversy surrounding the existence of Meta Markets for analog weaponry has brought this carbine into the media spotlight, with extensive information about it available online.
