Overpopulation in the major city-states of the New Era represents a constant challenge to urban mobility in much of the planet. With public transport systems saturated, certain corporations have invested in new solutions, either paid or partially subsidized by municipal authorities, to alleviate the growing demand for transportation.

The SteadyCabin represents an evolution of the classic individual electric scooter, widely adopted during the previous century. Its four free-rotating wheels and articulated base joint provide maximum stability on sloped roadways. Its ventilated cabin offers protection from snow and rain and allows the transport of a 2XL-sized suitcase.

They use the same space and lanes as modern SkateBug units, but their operation is exclusively fee-based. Like the WallTram solution, unsubsidized systems have sparked intense criticism in the media, most often denouncing the classism implied by such policies. Like most transport solutions introduced in the current year, it is only suitable for users equipped with a backhand biochip.

Authorities defend these measures by arguing that they represent the logical price to be paid for urban overcrowding, and that they could be avoided if the population relocated to less densely populated areas or reduced its tourism impulses. Until that occurs, they are obliged to provide solutions for citizens. As the reader will appreciate, the controversy remains open.
