History

The limousine has always been a paradoxical vehicle, created for ostentation and glamour in any type of event, but undoubtedly the least practical for transportation.

During the past 21st century, its use underwent several cycles, depending on the economic situation of the planet’s various countries. It was even banned in much of Asia and South America during the Wheat Wars of the 2040s and 2050s for representing the decadence and consumerism of the West. The second Great Depression of 2042 had a lot to do with it. In the 2050s, the typical limousine queue on Oscar night began to be frowned upon. A robot bus or a fleet of small electric vehicles to transport the stars in their finery was much more environmentally friendly.

The use of limousines was subjected to a tax increase in the 2060s, commensurate with their lack of climate commitment. Despite the fact that they were already electrically powered, the energy consumption during their manufacture and the consumption of space on public roads allowed more than one politician to levy such taxes.

Nowadays, with the reasonable welfare level attained all over the planet, it is common to see these giant vehicles, mostly rented for group celebrations. Actual owners of a limousine are still the big businessmen and media stars. Politicians, on the other hand, prefer a low profile and resort to the typical protocol car.

The model HispanoSuiza No. 92 that we present here is currently the most luxurious limousine on the market, within the reach of very few due to the high taxes levied today in large cities.

In spite of the supposed benefits of the New Age and its transCapitalism, the reality is that human beings still need ostentation to feel superior to their fellow beings.
