History
The BeijingNorth Spiral was opened on the first day of 2114. Since then it has grown steadily around the nuclear fission plant that supplies its socioSystemic area. It currently has an estimated prison population of 35,238, although these are MediaWey estimates. No precise official data have been released as this is a TripleZero facility.
Spiral prisons are the new model to be implemented worldwide, given their ecological and safety advantages, as they serve to protect existing nuclear facilities. There have been no escapes to date and their social reintegration rate is higher than that of traditional penitentiaries in the last century.
