History
Developments in bituminous polymer technology enabled substantial performance improvements in many aircraft by the end of the past century. In the case of helicopters, the extraordinary lightness and flexibility of the new 3D printing materials led to radical changes in their design. Pneumatic trains and skids disappeared and were replaced by thin flexible ailerons. This technology enabled hybrid solutions for emergency splashdowns, or even high-speed navigation on water. The new geometries allowed the possibility of snow and ice slides in cold regions. In this case, an MC4 can also glide across the desert sand for certain tactical routes and save fuel.
Since 2096 the MC4 military helicopter has been adopted by law enforcement agencies around the world as a short-range police air transport vehicle. There are more than 10,000 operational units spread across InterPol’s 7 jurisdictions.
